Late Night Ramblings

Late Night Ramblings. Having no job for two months can really really suck. Hopefully this situation will be fixed here in the near future. It wouldn’t have been nearly so bad if it were mid spring or early summer. That way I could always take the bike out to cruise.

Things I hate: Linux installs that just plain suck (Don’t work, work then f up on you). People that you drop things off to that say they’ll call you with estimates on it, but DON’T. People that borrow things of yours but never bring them back, so you have to take them back. Not having a job…mentioned that though. Being so good at something that you just get bored, but you keep going back to it because it’s like crack. Not being motivated enough to continue to do work on things. All time favorite, telling a game to quit (either open-apple-Q or ALT-F4 or clicking on quit) and then have the game ask you if you want to quit, and the rare program that then asks you if you really want to quit. I could line programmers up by the thousands and just plug a bullet in to each one. That is just lame ass programming technique. The amount of time I spend having to move a mouse to click on Yes, or Ok, or anything else other than NO or Cancel far outweigh the time it would take for me to re-launch said application if I had goofed up and accidentally quit.

It’s easy to hate things, I tend to get pissed at things easier than finding the flip side.
